The 1st quarter SPRING.ph workshop entitled “Getting a Start-up Started: Organizational Challenges for Start-ups” focused on the different organizational challenges faced by startup companies involved in software products. The workshop was held last February 28, 2013 at the Asian Institute of Management with 36 participants coming from both PSIA member and non-member companies. SPRING.ph coaches and selected LaunchPad teams facilitated the workshop discussing Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup and Organizational Challenges.
The 2nd quarter workshop entitled “Corporate Storytelling” was held last May 23, 2013 at AIM. The workshop was attended by 43 participants from both PSIA member and non-member companies, academe and partners from the government. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Raju Mandhyan; author, coach and a personal and organizational development speaker. The video “The Startup Kids” was also first introduced in this workshop which became the inspiration to PSIA’s own version of a video documentary featuring the Philippine software industry and startup scene.
The 3rd quarter workshop entitled “Starting and Growing a Software Business” was held last August 22, 2013 at the University of the Philippines Cebu in Lahug, Cebu City which was attended by 25 participants representing the local-based software companies, students and private organizations. SPRING.ph has invited Cebu-based software company representatives to be part of the panel: Dave Overton of Sym.ph, Wesley Chiongbian of Mynimo, Mark Buenconsejo of Caresharing, Anthony Noel of Lenddo and Honeylyn Balingcasag of Codetoki.
