Requirements for Joining:
Submit a completely filled out Membership Application form to firstname.lastname@example.org, together with the following supporting documents (scanned copies are preferable), and an annual membership fee to be given every first quarter.

Section 1. Qualification of Members.
Subject to such rules as the Board of Trustees may impose, any duly licensed, reputable and well-established business organizations whose main line of business is software-related products and services, enumerated as follows:
- software products developed locally
- imported software products
- software services for local market, and/or
- software services for export
- systems consulting
- systems design / analysis
- coding/ programming
- testing and quality assurance
- software help desk support
- software maintenance
- manpower placement
- software research and development
- sales and distribution
- education and training
- medical transcriptors
- data encoders
- business process outsourcing
- other activities related or connected with the software industry as determined by the Board of Trustees who subscribes to the purposes of the Association and agrees to comply with and be bound by these By-Laws and other rules and regulations of the Association is eligible for membership.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Board may determine the qualifications for membership through the majority vote of Directors present in a duly constituted special or regular meeting.
Each member organization shall exercise its membership through its authorized representative or designated permanent alternate who should be able to represent his organization on all matters. The representative and alternate shall have the rank of Chairman, President, Vice-President, General Manager or equivalent.
Section 2. Members’ Rights and Privileges.
Each member organization shall be entitled to one vote. The representative or alternate of the organization shall exercise the right to vote. Only the (main) representative can be elected or appointed to an office in the Association.
All members shall have the right to participate in other activities of the Association.
Section 3. Membership Fees and Dues.
Every member shall pay, upon admission to the Association, a membership fee and the initial annual due. Membership fee and annual dues shall be determined by the Board of Trustees and approved by the membership present in a special or regular meeting.
In special cases, members shall be assessed such other contributions or dues in such amount as may be fixed by the Board of Directors.
From an anniversary mode of payment (month of joining PSIA), membership fees are now due during the first quarter every year starting 2010.
Section 4. Honorary Membership.
Honorary Membership shall be granted to any (person – per PSIA Board Meeting 08.05.05) and/or organization which has significantly contributed to the Association. Honorary Membership shall be granted only upon the unanimous approval of the Board of Directors. Honorary members shall be exempted from the payment of annual dues and assessments and shall have all the rights and privileges of a member except the right to vote and to be elected to any position in the Association.
Partner Membership status is granted to any organization which is seen as actively contributing towards the software development sector and PSIA, but may not be directly engaged in ITO or software development per se. Membership shall be granted only upon the unanimous approval of the Board of Directors. Partners also pay annual membership dues and assessments and shall have all the rights and privileges of a member except the right to vote and to be elected to any position in the Association.
