The Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) aims to promote the growth and global competitiveness of the Philippine software industry.
It has more than 110 members ranging from leading multinational firms to small-to-medium local enterprises which make up roughly 90 percent of the country’s software sector.
Through the years, the PSIA has been an active partner of the government and academe in implementing programs that benefit the industry. |

FLY HIGH: Philippine Software 2010
The Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) and the Philippines’ Commission on Information Communications Technology (CICT) have hatched a five year plan called “FLY HIGH: Philippine Software 2010” to boost the growth of the Philippine software sector. This program for the Philippine software industry consists of 21 quantifiable action items encompassed in five action areas: |

INDUSTRY PERFORMANCE
As the outsourcing phenomenon continues to grow, companies in the US, Europe and Japan have been seeking not only lower cost services but also providers of value and quality. The Philippines has become one of the preferred countries from which to acquire these services.
In 2005, export revenues from software development amounted to $200M (an approximate 36% year-end growth) and software developers are growing in terms of headcount. Currently, the Philippines has over 28,000 software developers in the country. |
